Running Room

The running room is the most popular room at New Day! It's a room that we have set aside for large motor activity. There are tricycles to ride, a climber to climb on, balls to kick or play catch, musical instruments for marching and music to move to. Each classroom has 20 minutes scheduled in the running room in the morning and in the afternoon. We feel it's important for children to have a good balance of active and quiet activities throughout the day. It doesn't take the place of outdoor play, but it sure is great when we can't take the children outside because of inclement weather!
